Finally!

Ok, I just got done playing a $6.50, 45 person turbo sng... AND I WON... I have final tabled the last 3 before this one and missed the cash. But I have always made those losses back up at the cash tables, anyhow, I will talk about the tourney more after I have calmed down and had a little time to go over it in my head. There was alot of key moments that helped me survive to win that I think I should post. So I won $84 for 1st... feels so good to win that damn thing... turbos are really hard...

When you know you are up against AA

Ok the HH doesnt look good when I copy and paste it so I will have to spell it out for you, I am currently still at said table...

I am UTG, with JJ I make it $1 to go pre, cut off makes it $3, I am pretty sure this guy has AA, but the BB goes all in for $4.85 which creates an ideal situation for me. See I know cut off has AA I am freaking sure of it... but this lovely guy going all in with a short stack gives me the wonderful option of seeing the flop for only his stack when I just call his bet, the cut off player cant reraise at that point and can only fold or call. So I call and force the AA to call. Flop, well you guessed it I wouldnt be posting it if it wasnt, 4c 6c jh, I check of course, let AA do my work, he fires $5 into a $14.65 pot, I repush for $24.80 total, he calls... 7d, 5h. I win... not only did I crack his AA but the other guy had QQ... I know lucky flop but the situation called for me to call there and if I miss the set fold on the flop cause I was damn sure cut-off had AA. $47.30 pot.

KK, I raise it to $1, seat to my right makes it $1.50 more, button calls, I make it $15 to go, reraiser calls all n for like $5 total, the button insta pushes all n and of course I call... he has qq I win $79 pot...

At another table...

I limp UTG+1, with 4c 6c, button makes it $1.25,BB calls, I call, flop is 3h 5c 4h. Check, Check button raises to $2.50 BB folds I call. Turn is 8c, this hands starting to get juicy, we both check river is 7c... yep st8 flush, I check, he freakn checks... look at hand replay he had KK.

Sessions

So since I got back on the horse and started playing again, I have been limiting myself to playing 1 to 2 hours at a time. 1 because I have other things to do, 2 I have to wait till my son goes to bed, 3 I have to spend time with my wife and 4 no pressure to preform.

I have been working on building my bankroll. I am very focused on that. Of course my 3 4 offsuite story in my last post doesnt reflect that. But building my br up so I can jump levels is my main goal. I really want to get to $1k online before I jump back up to 25/50. I am about half way there.

Gustav and I playing poker again

So last night I got on and randomly sat at my usual game, 10/25 nl, and I see a player named GustavHansen. I am like wait the fuck a minute I have a buddy I met playing online that has that name on full titt. So I type in Gustav... and holy cow patty batman its him... I couldnt believe it, I know he plays on here but I have never ran into him and I know he hasnt been playing here much. I havent played with him in over a year. So we have been playing the last couple nights, him raping the tournies just like old times and me having a go at the cash games and not doing so bad... We are playing the same table as I write this and I have to post this hand I played and made what I thought was the best online call I have ever made... or was it l0l

So I am UTG+1, I open for .75 with 34 off suite, the cut off reraises it too $1.25, UTG calls, I call. Qc 5h Qs flops, UTG folds, lol, check check, 2s on the turn, I fire $1, cut off reraises to $3, I insta call. I miss on river but hit the 3c. I checked, he bets $4 into a $10;10 pot. I was like wait a minute, either thats air or I am crazy, I honestly thought about it for about 15 seconds and decided to call cause 1, I thought he had BS and 2, I had a stack and $4 didnt hurt me to find out 3, if I lose everyone at the table is going to look at HH and see my hand and think I am a moron for calling with the 3 on the river. Oh BTW he had 9 4 of hearts. So great call or donkey play? You tell me, I am going with great donkey call lol

gambln at omaha

Played my usual game last night and a $10 sng, didnt do good at sng, 77 in bb ran into a limping KK in the sb I pushed he called end of story. So I decided to play some omaha and dont you love it when you sit at a table and you cant miss a damn thing. I was playing 5/10 and made $20 in less the 30 minutes. I played smart, changing gears making what seemed like retarded calls and lost those hands just cause I know everyone looks at HH if you called on river, as to set them up for later when I had the nuts... and oh did it work, I was actually sad I had to go to bed or I would have stayed on that table as long as I could.

So night before last I was playing my usual online game. Very early in the session I doubled up. I had JJ and busted QQ. Flopped set of Jacks, thats the tamest part of this story. The loser, who I am guessing and been having a bad online day at poker starts tearing into the table saying how bad we are, how 10/25 isnt real poker and a lot others things people just would never say at a live game unless you were best-friends and thats still pushing it. Anyhow I didnt say anything back to him for a long time, I mean I did out flop him and played my set right... I dont remember my position, but I know I reraised him enough post flop to make him get away from QQ. Finally when I couldnt stand his words any longer I said, " I reraised the flop, you were not smart enough to realize your piss ass QQ was no longer good ". The board is Jc 5d 3c,See he raised the flop, I reraised with my set trying to chase of a flush draw or potetial st8 draws, highly unlikely he had st8 draw, I had him on big overs, but there were 2 or 3 other players in the hand. ANYHOW, he reraises me and I push all in he calls, my hand holds and he goes into a tirade for about 30 minutes at least, even Bill was watching started giving the guy shit and so did half the table. I ended up leaving after about an hour only up like $5. Made some good plays that just didnt hold up... like I have 9s board is 8 5 6, guy raises I push him all n he calls turns another 8... so who has trips lol

Cash game

So I am hosting a cash game every Saturday now... Well trying to run it every Saturday. I havent been playing much still. I have kind of lost my fire. I still enjoy playing, I just dont think its fun to play all the time anymore. Maybe it would be if I won more often LOL. But I am playing well when I do play and I am making better reads, so I definetly think time off isnt a bad thing. Clears the head.
