Sunday night fever

I was on a moster run, well for only sittn for 1.5 hours. I bought in for $25 ran it up to $96 I think, then over called with 1 pair on the river... mistake... since he was bettn the whole way and I was just calling with top pair top kicker and nut flush draw, but I wanted to see what he had on river in case it was a busted draw and my jack was good... lost about 20 or so in that hand so I left with $70 called it a sign to go to bed since its almost 11 on sunday night

Quick update

Last night I had an awesome cash game at my house, I will post more about it later, I am off to go get a tattoo, just wanted to give an online BR update, I will also start tracking my offline BR here pretty soon too, I just need to decide what I am going to start my off-line BR at.

Online the other day I had AA UTG plus 1 or 2, I make it $1.25 to go 2 callers a guy makes is $2.25 to go I make it $7 total, fold fold, the guy who made it $2.25 pushes for $15.15 total, I call, at show down he shows 8 3 off-suit, for a loser... WTF was he doing. but thanks for the $25 donation

Not much

Been a few days since my last post... I have been playing but nothing really significant happened. I have been reading the new Harrington books, reading book 1 right now. I have to say, so far I am enjoying the pace and information I am getting out of the book. I havent seen Harrington play alot of cash games, but I must say his book is spot on and has opened my eyes to alot of new things, well not actually new things, but I understand more the meanings behind alot of the different plays and moves I have seen and made at the felt... really has given me a new outlook... I am not going to change my game, but adding this knowledge to my arsenal, putting them into action will make me a better player. I already had started feeling really alot more confident in my live play, this will only make it better. I expect a slight influx in BR but learning isnt always cheap, I hope to minimize my mistakes though and play good poker... anyhow I feel like I am starting to ramble... I like to do that...

At the tables online I havent been running good or bad, just average. Down since last post but not much.

I was really doing good at a table and of course I have to go give my son a bath and put him to bed... but really those are the joys in life and I will gladly get up from a table to take care of my son. Anyhow, been running pretty good last few days, I have changed my buy ins from the offered min to the max. I am finding I like the " deep stack " poker play better and it is def showing better results.

PLO game last weekend

So I hosted a small PLO game on Saturday and when I say small I mean 4 handed, .5/.10 blinds $20 min and $40 max buy in. The game went really well, alot of action and I hit probably more rivers then some people would like... but damn, when you have that many outs and pot odds how can i fold? LOL... No real specific hands... but alot of fun, i bought in for $34 cashed out around $90, and basically had a large stack most of the night... only 2 people cashed out from the game... me taking the larger share of the other guys $... BIG UPS TO SATAN for not busting and taking down some $$$.... HONESTLY I WILL PLAY MORE CONVENTIONAL NEXT TIME... i mean it... maybe...

The Weekend

So I havent been playing good/running good lately. I have been over playing certain hands and all together playing way too many hands at NL... I am feeling a little burnt out lately on Hold em so I decided to switch to PLO. I was running good, till today lost like $25 in 20 minutes and called it quits for the day, oh tried an $11 rebuy for 1 buy in... never a good idea... didnt last long at all... anyhow I need to get back on the grind it out bandwagon and play smarter and see less hands think about my position etc...

Tourney Play

So yesterday was about tourneys... I played a $11 800 person tourney, I got 85th cashed for $18.75... my last hand a guy raised it to 1800, I had 55 in the button and tried to resteal so I pushed all in for 8700. Guy thinks for almost the whole time limit finally calls, with 88, 8 fucking 8 and of course it holds but how the fuck does he call off more then half his stack with 88. I had been playing super tight smart aggressive poker and this guy calls with 8s this late in a tourney? I dont know... anyhow my bankroll has taken a little hit I am under $400 now.

Well i played my usual game... was down a bit early, switched tables and 1st hand i got quad jacks and cracked KK, flopped the set in sb got it all n on the flop. I will post hand history tomorrow... I ran a 10 7 club bluff bet early pos, guy called with 87 hit the 8 on the turn and i hit open ended st8 flush draw i had to call his all n when i double barreled the turn... too many outs too fold, except for losing the hand I really think I played the hand as best I could since I decided to play it anyhow... mixing in new variations of play if i hit on the river I stand to make alot so i dont mind doing it once in awhile to mix up my image. I will post the hand tomorrow as well.
