$40 live tourney

So I went and played a $40 live tourney tonight at my friend Johns' house... 17 people, 1st paid $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100 and 4th for $40... it was a good tourney started around 7 and ended right before midnight... yours truely won it... It has been so long since I have won a live tourney! I tell you what, this is a good feeling... I am not like bouncing off the walls, but I played very calm and when I made a mistake early and dumped half my large stack off to a guy I just let it go and played my game the best I could... But I do have to tell you about 2 hands... so we are at final table I think we are 8 maybe 9 handed at this point, the final table started with 10. The blinds are 1k/2k, 1 guy limps, large guy dont know his name, Paul limps, Tracy limps and the sb limps, I look down at 83 clubs and check, 10k in pot preflop, flop is q 3 3 rainbow, sick i know, so sb checks, I check, everyone else does too... turn, 3, sb bets out $2500 at a 10k pot, I give him this quizicle look and say, " $2500 into a $10k pot?" he kinda shrugs and Paul who isnt in hand is like chuckling at me and agreeing... so I smooth call, now the big guy down on the end PUSHES all in and he has monster stack, I am drooling inside saying please call SB PLEASE, at this point I have them both on the Q, and they are drawing dead, so anyhow the sb folds I insta call and flip my hand I have quads of course, he has 66... are you kidding me... lol so I take down like a $150 pot, I had around $70k when hand started, I think... anyhow...

HEADS UP

We go to heads up and I think I am at least 3 to 1 dog in chips, I doubled up 1st hand, I had 99 he had Ax my hand held... 3 hands later I get 66 on the button and go all n he calls with k9 off, board 674, turn a 7 river 10 game over... I scoop $300. so $260 profit... I feel really good about this I havent won a live event in over a year, I dont feel like I am king shit god of poker fuck yeah I won good, but I am appreciating the chance to have won a tourney. I must admit it is nice being really calm about the win...

Poker

Well I had a really bad week or so, lost all my $ on FT, and lost more then half my BR on stars, but I think I think I broke out of my slump last night... won almost $100, BR back up to $250... uggg... I remember when you were at $600 oh well, I took so many bad beats it truely was some of the sickest shit I can remember... I also made some calls that I thought were right, there was no way so and so could have played a certain hand the way betting went but damn it if they didnt catch runner runner ALOT... anyhow.. I noticed my reads were a little better last night when I had the TV and music off... I will have to focus on playing with less distractions... anyhow till next time

poker tracker

So I guess my trial is over... or at least part of it it tells me to update it and I try and it just wants me to buy it, even though when I load up the program it tells me I have 40 days left in my trial... IDK... I will look into it more when I get back from vacation... I am probably going to buy stoxs poker and get it for free but that takes almost $400 its a good deal cause u get stox poker and 280+ vids and other stuff plus PT... but I want to check out a couple other PT type software before I choose PT, but will prob go with PT cause of the deal stox has

Anyhow, side note, it is hard to post a blog and 2 table at the same time... So Lindsay, Koen and I are driving down to Groveland, CA tomorrow, we are going to visit Lindsay's family and some of their friends... should be really nice we are staying right on Pine Lake, will get to go out on boat and watch fireworks on the 4th and just relax. I honestly need a vacation, I just quit my job, have been doing alot of projects around the house and I just plain need to get the fuck away... sometime sitting on or by the lake getting a tan should help cleanse the soul... playing with my boy is going to be the best part... I cant wait to take him swimming... anyhow we will be back on the 7th... maybe I will post a pic... but probably do that on my other blog that I never update

I swear I get suckedout on by more 2 to 4 outers then should even be mathmatically possible... days like the last few make me want to quit...

I have taken every bad beat you could possibly imagine and fucking busted on full tilt... I lost $400 on there in 2 days... I should have stopped but I didnt... and I am losing on stars too this is crap... I should stop
